Hi Laurent,
there's gonna be a biker event - sort of demonstration - this friday at 6pm: it's called Critical Mass (you can count with about 4 - 8000 bikers, skaters etc... if the organisers are right).
The CM is organised twice yearly, once one Intl. Earth Day (that's this Friday), once on the Car - free Day (22 september).
We will meet at 6 pm on Heroes' Square (Hõsök Tere) and go for a short ride (about 5 - 6 km's) around town with masses of bikers (hopefully!!!!)!
So come and surely you'll meet lots of people there:D
See ya on Friday!
Oh, I just noticed someone else has posted this as well. Anyway, come!

Hi Laurent, this is the best place if u're looking for riding partners. There are almost all kind of riders including downhillers, freeriders, x-country and all mountain riders, and roadies as well.
People in and around budapest organize the rides in the "Bringaslanyok marpedig vannak" (Biker girls DO exist) topic but of course not in english. So if you are interested we can drop you an email or a post in this topic, if a big group ride is being organized (usualy on the weekends). This weekend is quite busy, we have the first X-Country National Cup race in Pilisszentlaszlo (a small village about 15km north of bp) and most of us is racing or watching the competition.
On April 22 at 18pm there will be a huge demonstration (Day of the Earth) starting from the Hõsök Tere (Square of Heroes), but the members of this forum will meet a half an hour earlier at the Oktogon.
We are also looking forward meeting you,
take care

Sziazstok !
I moved to Bp last November. I’m very fond of MB (X country) which I practiced quite intensively in France. I brought my bike over a week ago and started to ride last week-end. There seems to be a lot to do around here : )) So, I’d like to meet people in Bp I could ride with.
I can go for day rides or more. I also used to go trekking in the French Alps and participate to MB events. I can ride up and down pretty much anywhere and obviously still have some condition.
So if you’re interested feel free to email me: magnier_laurent@yahoo.fr
Looking forward to riding with you ; )
Cheers,
Laurent
